Cartagena mystery

Cartagena 10K was a very important race for me. Because there is no chance to run a race in Colombia. So I prepared more carefully than usual. I ran the course the day before the race, and I visited the starting place 3 hours before the race. And I warmed up enough, I lined up 1 hour before the race to get a… Continue

Long run 6th July

I ran over 20k today, from 9:00 to 13:00. I joined Mr Noguchi's(He was a clerk at the institute.) team. It was v
ery hot here today in Nagaski. I ate 2 icecream and drank 3 drinks during the workout. And I had sunburn. We ran Mizube-no-wood-park→a goddess bridge→the statue of Maria etc... The marine was very beautiful. We have to start earlier next week.

Thank you for the detailed report on the Nagano Marathon. I hope I can make it. I definitely want to run a race or two in Japan in 2010. I am sure that with some training, you can get your marathon time down to the 3 hour range. Then, you can run one of the races in the States. There is one race that I always recommend to women. It is the Nike Womens Marathon in San Francisco. It is very well organized. The course is hard, but beautiful and you get to run on the Golden Gate Bridge. Finally, all women that finish get a neclace from Tiffany
s Jewelers.

Dear Matsumi,
I am thinking about doing the Nagano Marathon for 2010. Do you have any suggestions about registering, where to stay, the course? I would really appreciate it. Feel free to ask me about running in the states or California.

Dear Mutsumi,
I was looking through your photos. Very nice! What is the race where there are cherry blossom trees and such? That is the kind of race that I want to run in Japan. I have run 15 marathons and my last was in Tokyo last year. I am running the LaCrosse, Wisconsin marathon this May. I especially want to run a trail run in Japan next spring...2010. Kindest Regards...Gary
